Get Physical – Sleep Well, Feel Great, Live Longer!

You eat every day to provide the calories and nutrients to fuel, energize and heal your body. But do you consider the fact that you also need to physically burn the same amount of calories………or they will go on as fat?

So let’s think about how long you take time out to eat during the course of the day:
Breakfast: 10-20 minutes (depending on if you are on the go)
Lunch: 15 minutes (also depends on what your schedule is)
Dinner: 20-25 minutes (give or take a few)
Total time spent eating: 45-60 minutes

Now you need to balance that out with physical activity – and yes, you do burn some calories through basic walking, sitting and breathing, but that would only account for 1/4-1/3 the amount of calories you need to burn. The rest – 30 minutes or more – really needs scheduled which may be easier than you think.

• Begin by scheduling two daily 10-15 minute segments of workout, or one 30 minute segment. Make it count: at the gym, biking, brisk walking, jogging, jumping on a mini-trampoline. A morning working out (before you eat) or doing a 10-15 minute workout segment first will help you burn twice as much fat and keeps your metabolism working more efficiently all day long. If you don’t always get it all in, then plug in the following as secondary active segments.
• Plan a brisk walk or bike to a neighbor or neighborhood market.
• Walk briskly through parking lots, lengthy stores, and malls, etc. See the distance as your advantage!
• Spend your computer time standing instead of sitting. Do leg lifts, squats, etc. to break up the monotony. And sit on an exercise ball when you do sit.
• Spend your television time stretching, weight lifting, or jumping on a trampoline.
• You can also spend your re ading time on a stationary bicycle!
• Enjoy the great outdoors – in the park, in your garden, on a hike, even just walking in a neighborhood! Get outdoors more!

Just get active and work to strengthen your physical self. As you do, you will honestly:
• sleep more soundly
• think more clearly and more logically
• feel more energetic throughout the day
• have a toner system
• you will lose weight naturally
• your organs, muscles, and bones will work more efficiently
• you will be less stressed
• you will age more gracefully
• and you will get ultimately more accomplished each and every day

Don’t think you don’t have time to exercise! You don’t have time not to!!! The benefits are HUGE and you will be blessed for taking that time out each day!
